Powers of Attorney

Our compassionate attorneys will help you understand the importance and value of this critical document. A durable Power of Attorney serves to appoint an agent to act on your behalf in financial or business matters ranging from signing papers, checks, title documents and contracts, to handling bank accounts. A durable Power of Attorney is designated to remain in effect should you become mentally or physically disabled, which is typically when the document is needed most. We will properly draft and execute a durable Power of Attorney which can ensure that, upon incapacity, the court will not have to appoint a guardian or conservator to make your financial decisions. We advise that this vital document be part of every estate plan.

Health Care Proxy

Our attorneys assist in the creation of Health Care Proxies that protect individuals in the event that they can no longer make their own medical decisions. This document will allow you to appoint an agent now who is familiar with your health care preferences. If you are unable to make informed decisions on your own, this agent may make decisions on your behalf regarding medical procedures or treatment. Without a Health Care Proxy, state law will govern such personal decisions.

Living Will

Speaking with the attorneys at DePinto Faldetta about drafting your Living Will may help your family avoid a burdensome decision. This document will specify whether you wish your life to be prolonged by artificial means if you become terminally ill. A Living Will helps alleviate the emotional trauma faced by family members in making a difficult decision when a loved one’s condition becomes terminal.
